My Day! :)

Yes, it is! It's my birthday today! It was well spent with the family. I did a lot of productive things during the day and ended it with a quiet dinner with the family. Thank You, God, for another year...praying for more great yearsss to come. And expecting another year full of blessings from You. :)

A Full Day

Yes, it was a full day for me and my daughter but it was all good, all fun. We woke up earlier than usual for a Saturday because we will be attending my friend's daughter's birthday party. I had to go to the salon first to get my unruly hair fixed. I was really happy with the result.

Anyway, I met my friends at the party. I'm happy to see them. I think I was with them the last time on January this year. That was four months ago.


My daughter fancied a batman paint on her wrist during the party.


She also gave a short message to the celebrator. :)


We went home after to take a rest and mid-afternoon I brought my daughter to her rehearsals at Center for Pop. I proceeded to the gym. It took them a while to get finished. It was already past 8 PM when we left Center for Pop. We had dinner at Pancake again.


Hubby was on his way home so he picked us up at the mall. He did not like anything in Pancake's menu so we transferred to Shakey's. was full already so I opted for just a coffee.

Happy Monthsary!

It's our anniversary today as boyfriend and girlfriend. :) Like what my daughter said in her instagram, "it's mom and dad's monthsary!" Haha. Funny! The hubs brought home my cake. :)

Exercise then Eat!

I decided to join the RPM class tonight. I was glad I did. It was an RPM Challenge class which I didn't realize when I was in the room. It was handled by my favorite RPM instructor. It was great!


Afterwards I met with my husband and daughter and we had our dinner at Napoli Pizzeria.

Daughter ordered her favorite appetizer, mozzarella bars.

I had carbonara, but this time, it came with fish fillet since they ran out of chicken. This is to share. Huge serving.


My husband had his seafood pesto pizza.


And before finally heading home, we bought a few sweets. I was craving for some cake and thought of just buying brownies which I could munch when we get home. Daughter fancied the chocolates from Cacao. She loves this multi-colored chocolates. We went home happy with our chocolate loots. Haha.

Dinner at Shakey's

The family had dinner at Shakey's after my daughter's rehearsal at Center for Pop Music and after my gym session. My husband loves their thin crust. My daughter loves their mojos with caesar's dressing.

I am very thankful that I was able to run at the UP Academic Oval late this afternoon. I ran for 40 minutes. I am happy to note that I can run now continuously. I slow down to walk but I can run now for several minutes unlike before that I need to slow down after a minute or maybe less. I'm really happy about this improvement to think I haven't ran outdoors for a long time. I would like to believe I have built stamina and endurance because of my regular exercises.

Yes, that's me in black and white. This was take a past 6 in the evening. Thanks to the hubs and daughter for accompanying me.


We proceeded to Jamba Juice, Bonifacio High Street after. :)

MIAS 2012

The family headed to Manila International Autoshow this afternoon. I'd say we had a grand time. :) This is the second year that we visited the exhibit.

After Church

It's a very rainy Thursday. Great that the three of us still managed to go to church at an earlier time even if it was drizzling. I must say this is a good respite from the hot weather. I love it in fact. After church the three of us went to McDonald's for some snack. At least my daughter and her best friend had their fries and burgers and Coke Float.

I had bought chicken empanada in the nearby Red Ribbon and yes, coffee, for this rainy day.

Friday's

We did our groceries after our church but first we trooped to a restaurant because both of us are so famished. Our church duties ended at a little past 1 PM. My daughter's choice is T.G.I. Friday's. Good thing I was able to coax her to try another dish, not her usual Friday's fix of chicken fingers and fries.

She ordered tortilla crusted fish which she loves because it's dory and she loves the rice. I think it's pilaf.


My daughter is a dessert person too. Her choice was Oreo Madness. Good thing we only ordered one piece because it's huge!


We were both so full after our late lunch.

Book Hunting

My daughter and I went to Fully Booked early tonight for her book hunting. She's like that, a bookworm like me. It's a craving we need to satisfy. Good thing she found one that she likes. I missed the title at this time but she couldn't wait to get home to start reading it...as usual.


We had our dinner at Napoli Pizzeria. It's carbonara with slabs of chicken and pizza.


I have macho arms (thanks to weights, haha, or is that no, thanks?) and my daughter looks like a grown up lady here).

Sunday Lunch

After church, my daughter and I went to Red Ribbon as per her request. We had our lunch there. As usual, she ordered her favorite pan-grilled while I had my palabok fix and a cake. I always treasure even the simplest bonding moment with my daughter.

Musical Event

Oh yes, my daughter was one of the featured vocalists at their school's talent showcase. I am so proud of her. She loves singing and performing. I appreciate it that her friends and schoolmates congratulated her for a very passionate performance. :)

Salon Date

It was already after school and around six in the evening when my daughter said she'll go for it even if it means we'll go home late tonight. We proceeded to Tony & Jackey for her first hair treatment. I promised this to her and been wanting to have her hair to be more manageable. This is the perfect timing because she will perform at school tomorrow.

Since I love taking pictures, I was not doing anything, and this is her first hair treatmetn, I took a lot of pictures and one of them was while her hair's being washed. Monumental, isn't it? Haha.


And look, this branch has digital mirror where you can browse the internet.

Delivery

I decided to stay home too because my daughter skipped today. She wasn't feeling well. These came about after all the school activities the past weeks - examinations and then the non-stop practice for the field demonstration. Well a lot of kids did not attend their classes today as we learned. That only means the activities exhausted the students to the core.

But then come early afternoon I know my daughter is already recovering from her fatigue and headache's gone. She asked for a McDonald's delivery - her favorite from the store - quarter pounder. She devoured all these. They're gone in a jiffy when I checked her in the room. To think that she just had a late lunch. My daughter's a growing girl indeed.

Field Demonstration

I went with my daughter to school today to watch her perform for their Field Demonstration and celebrate with the teachers and fellow parents for the Family Day. I was there from morning till afternoon. I had to postpone a lot of work as well as my gym session but it was fun. My daughter had a great time performing and being with her friends. Their group won the grand prize in the retro dance competition. She was so happy about it. :)



There were lots of food during the entirety of the program and she had eaten quite a lot. But well, my daughter is a growing girl so after the event, we proceeded to Red Ribbon to have her favorite pan-grilled pork chops. I had my cake and palabok fix. Oh yes, her all-time favorite mashed potato only from Red Ribbon, without the gravy, please. :)

Birthday Party and a Movie Date

My daughter and I attended my friend's daughter's seventh birthday celebration at Shakey's. I am looking forward to this that I made a way so that I can exchange church duties with another church member. Thankful that she accommodated my request. Thankful too our unit leaders for changing our shifts.

I'm glad to meet my friends. We last saw each other on the first week of January. So glad to see them.


It's also great that our daughters get to mingle and develop their own friendship top.


After the party, my daughter and I proceeded to Gateway, bought some things she needs for tomorrow's school activity and then we watched Chronicle. It is a good movie which my daughter and I enjoyed watching.


We had to go back to The Block because my daughter wanted to have her Chocolate Milk Tea fix at Bubble Tea. I had my pasta which is so good.

Happy Valentine's Day

Husband and I had breakfast together after dropping off our daughter to school. He has this habit of making my coffee first before he makes his. :) I don't know why but he makes coffee tastes better whether we eat out or at home.


We watched a movie, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, for our Valentine date. Haha. What a movie for Valentine's. Anyway, I really want to watch this that we have to travel all the way from our place to Shangrila to catch this. Popcorn and drinks while we watch.


I had my cake fix too on this day. Yes, I make any occasion for me to have my cake and eat it too.

Saturday Fun Day

This is really a great day for me and especially for my daughter. I accompanied her and her best friend to attend the launch of One Direction's CD. They bought the limited edition so they got their ballers and a poster. Gad, they so love this boy band.


The two bought identical slippers. What are best friends for if you won't wear the same slippers?


The two had lunch at McDonald's while I bought mine from Red Ribbon for my palabok fix. We had our snack at Bubble Tea. I'm not into milk tea but definitely I am into chocolate cake.


We proceeded to Fully Booked and good thing, my daughter took interest with the book I asked her to check. She can't stop reading it now.


Till our next hangout. Haha.

Birthday and Christening

After church half of the morning we attended the reception of the christening of the youngest child of my husband's friend. It was nice to meet the young couple and their two kids.


We went home to rest for a while and then proceeded to my aunt's house in the south to celebrate her 61st birthday. We don't see each other often that's why I took this opportunity to see some of my relatives in my mother's side.

Vanity

I'm glad I was able to join the Body Pump class this afternoon. I was a few minutes late but they were not starting yet. Happy to note also that I was able to add weights in my bar doing the workout I dread - putting the bar with weights on my shoulders. Also, only three of us were left to finish the routine workouts. It was tiring but fulfilling and recharging. Having said all these, I still need to lose weight. My diet patterned with how I did it two years ago starts tomorrow.


I looke heavy. I will take my diet seriously again. I want leaner muscles. Will start to track again my fitness and diet program in my fitness blog (I Am Working on My Fitness).
I had my pedicure last Friday and I am loving my red nails. Please excuse my big toes.

My daughter and I had a quick pictorial with her cousin and my grandson (by virtue of my cousin's son). The baby's soooo cute and cuddly!
