Herbed Crackers and Tuna

This is my light dinner. I wasn't feeling well earlier but I'm better now. Even the headache did not push through. I don't know how it happened but that's a great thing.

I think I had tummy ache because I didn't eat as soon as I got hungry and then I had slices of papaya. I don't think papaya is good if there's nothing your tummy had first. So there.

Anyway, I haven't prepared something like this in a long time. It's still good!

District 12

Finally we were able to watch The Hunger Games. I was with my daughter and her two friends. The kids were so up to it and took all opportunities to have their picture taken with the giant standee of the movie.

Finally!

Our visit to my dentist-friend has been postponed a number of times. Finally it pushed through today. My daughter had a tooth refilling. It was a smooth procedure. I am thankful that my friend said my daughter's teeth look great, no need to do oral prophylaxis yet. Also, it will be easy to align her teeth since she already had brackets when she was in early grade school.

Oh yes, we were frequent visitors of my friend then because my daughter had to have her brackets and I had to have my adult braces. The clinic is bigger now as three of them share. The layout is a bit different and I like the light green wall painting that dominates the wall. The warm light adds to a cozy effect while waiting.

I still remember this puzzle seats which I like so much. My daughter used to lie down here. Now, she won't fit here anymore lying down. Haha. Yes, this dental clinic and my friend are a part of my daughter's younger years.

It was raining heavy but thank God for a smooth ride. We still look fresh upon arriving at the clinic.

I forgot to take my lunch before leaving home because I had some heavy breakfast. I was starving! My daughter wanted to eat at Tokyo Cafe so we trooped there.  Here's another of our headbutt shot. :)

My daughter is loving milk tea these days so she tried this royal iced milk tea....and din't like it.

But this is what she really loves at Tokyo Cafe, their crispy friend chicken. See the little bites. Haha. Can't wait.

Ze New iPad

This is very much appreciated. Thanks to Mom and Pop and my sister too. Her friend brought it for us and called me first thing upon getting home from the airport. Well, thank you too, friend of my sister for taking care of ze iPad while in transit. :)

My daughter is so excited to use this already. She wants the instagram application as well as the game called Temple Run.

My daughter and I dropped by Bubble Tea after picking this up. And while waiting, we took pictures. There's us in the mirror.

One Direction

I am actually reading this book. This is my daughter's favorite band for two years now. She finished this book in two days. Every night I find myself reading about these boys. It's fun reading about them. For one thing, I have this habit of checking out what my daughter is reading, listening to or watching. I need to be updated and I need to know what interests her so I can properly guide her.

Ripe Mango Shake

More often than not I order from the gym's food stand for my nourishment after a workout. But this is the first time I ordered for their ripe mango shake. It's good!

Don't mind my foot. Gross ba, beside my drink? Haha. These are the things I usually bring with me while working out and I put them on the floor - cell phone with case with my money inside, earphone, locker key, small towel.

It's Empty!

We had a full Sunday starting this early morning with our church activities. We went back home for lunch and for a little rest. We went back to church because my daughter's group had their monthly meeting. My daughter really wanted to watch Mirror, Mirror so we proceeded to SM Nort EDSA to buy our tickets for late night showing. We had our early dinner at KFC. My daughter ordered a lot of food as she was starving - the fully loaded meal with cheesy bacon bowl, chicken, large soda, brownies. If this is not starving, I don't know what is.

Chocolates

My daughter is not really a chocolate lover. She doesn't crave for them. This is one of the few chocolates she loves. She used to shun away from strawberries when she was younger but for a few years now she likes them especially with chocolates.

Mozzarella Bars

After my quick trip to the salon, my daughter asked to skip Bubble Tea and instead to have our dinner at Napoli. She loves the carbonara with slabs of deep fried chicken here as much as I do. She had an additional order of mozzarella bars. My daughter will taste anything with cheese.

After Church

It's a very rainy Thursday. Great that the three of us still managed to go to church at an earlier time even if it was drizzling. I must say this is a good respite from the hot weather. I love it in fact. After church the three of us went to McDonald's for some snack. At least my daughter and her best friend had their fries and burgers and Coke Float.

I had bought chicken empanada in the nearby Red Ribbon and yes, coffee, for this rainy day.

Moonleaf with the Kids

The first pasta I prepared from the foodie magazine I bought a few days back - spaghetti in sweet sauce. It tastes good!

I want to email the people behind the recipe to ask why is it that they have to separate from the list of ingredients and from the instruction the 250 grams of pork, 250 grams of pork. Why didn't they just say 500 grams of pork? I wonder why.

The celery and the bay leaves made it so aromatic.

At last my daughter had a taste of the milk tea from Moonleaf. She ordered caramel milk tea and while her best friend ordered wintermelon.

I am not fond of milk tea so I ordered this red velvet cupcake from the bakeshop beside Moonleaf, The Cakebox.

But I did not consume it all. I just had 2 1/2 bites (yes, I have to put the "and a half", haha). I just had my core exercises and I don't want to ruin it by cupcakes. :)

Watermelon

Fruit of the day, Watermelon.

Sliced Papaya

I brought this with me and ate half of what's on the package after an intense gym workout.

Sunday, March 18, 2012

Half

Yes, consume half of what's on your plate. That's what I did with this spaghetti.

Gym on a Weekend

I rarely go to the gym on a weekend because this is my time for rest (or malling and other bonding time with my daughter). But there's classes today to make up for the Thursday declared as "no classes" because of the transport caravan.

My husband and I dropped off my daughter to school and then he dropped me off to the mall where my gym is before heading to his work. It slipped my mind that on weekends my gym opens late. I had to kill a good two hours at the nearby McDonald's.

Finally I am at the gym. Not much people at the time I was there. It was past ten in the morning. It's so refreshing to be a the gym without much people. They just changed the layout too, at least a part of the gym. Looks nice and looks more spacious. But I like the previous layout still. It gives people privacy when they want to stretch and do core exercises on the elevated portion of the gym because the huge cabinet for stability balls served as divider. Now, the elevated portion is like an open field.

I picked up my daughter after my gym. We stopped by 7/11 and bought something including oru magazines. She, Candy mag, me, this Everyday Pasta magazine. I am really excited to use this already.

I Made a List

I browsed the innernet last night for some new exercises I can incorporate in my workout. I just had to list them in my 1/4 sheets of paper. I didn't bother to save on my phone. Next time I will. I used the list today as my reference as I do my exercises. They were helpful I must say.

I picked up my daughter after my gym and as usual, we had our late lunch at Red Ribbon. I was compelled to buy this cake. Oh, yummyness! My daughter is not a cake lover but she really likes this one that's why I bought it. She rarely requests for a cake.

Snack Time!

My daughter's reviewing for her final exams tomorrow. I prepared this for her - fried oreo with chocolate Hershey's syrup. It's one of her comfort foods.

Cream Dory in Coconut Milk

I got the recipe from a friend. I actually prepared two sets of cream dory tonight. Just in case this dory in coconut milk won't be a success, I've back-up. I cooked our usual fare which is cream dory dipped in egg and bread crumbs and deep fried and the other one is this, cream dory in wrapped in pechay leaves simmered in coconut milk. It's good! I'm gonna do this again.

Two-toned

It's unfortunate that I lost an earring, one of the pairs of my gold stud earrings. It's what I use daily. I only keep it when I change earrings occasionally. It's been with me since I had my ears pierced late in my adult life. I think that was about 2008 or maybe earlier.

I need an everyday earring so I bought this two-toned earrings today. I prefer gold stud but there were no stud earrings where I bought. I settled for this pair which looks good really. :)

Papaya

I bought this papaya for my dinner. I consumed one piece tonight.

Tiangge

This is a sort of a refuge when I want good bargains. Well, I have to really look for some good finds. I go here whenever there are ample to time to kill on a Sunday after my church duty while waiting for my daughter's own church activities to finish. It's one ride away from our church.

I don't know. Buying in tiangges (flea market) prove to be expensive too if you don't watch what you buy and you haven't prepared to set a limit to what you will spend. Since it's relatively cheaper here, you tend to buy and buy until you realize you spend a few thousand pesos for a few pair of pants, tops and whatever.

Friday's

We did our groceries after our church but first we trooped to a restaurant because both of us are so famished. Our church duties ended at a little past 1 PM. My daughter's choice is T.G.I. Friday's. Good thing I was able to coax her to try another dish, not her usual Friday's fix of chicken fingers and fries.

She ordered tortilla crusted fish which she loves because it's dory and she loves the rice. I think it's pilaf.

My daughter is a dessert person too. Her choice was Oreo Madness. Good thing we only ordered one piece because it's huge!

We were both so full after our late lunch.

The Moon

The other night I saw how the moon so near the earth. It's bigger than usual. I love it that way. It's good to note that I saw it big again this early morning. My camera may have not captured it's size but you can still see how bright it is amid the hustle and bustle of the street.

Katy Perry

My daughter loves this glasses. It's free from any grade, it's just a fashion accessory. Her classmates love it too as I saw their pictures taking turns in wearing this and pose in front of the cell phone camera. Kids.

I thought of wearing it too. Why not? :D

There is None Here

Nada, zero, none, no picture. I only went to the gym, did RPM. I've been having a lot on mind right now that's why it slipped my mind to take a picture of anything today. So there. A day has passed just like that. Will get over this rut I promise.

I Scream for Ice Cream

Not! I did not event take a small bite of this but I bought this for my daughter. She chose the vanilla variant of Magnum ice cream bar. Unlike me who loves chocolates, my daughter always prefer vanilla.

Early Morning

Today is the first day for the week of our early morning church devotional. We woke up before five in the morning and prepared ourselves. It was so early that we waited for about 10 minutes for McDonald's to open their store. It's really a 24-hour store but according to one of the staff they had pest control so they had to close for a few hours. What a timing for us. But I enjoyed this early morning breakfast with my daughter.

My daughter, me and my eyebags. :D

Book Hunting

My daughter and I went to Fully Booked early tonight for her book hunting. She's like that, a bookworm like me. It's a craving we need to satisfy. Good thing she found one that she likes. I missed the title at this time but she couldn't wait to get home to start reading it...as usual.

We had our dinner at Napoli Pizzeria. It's carbonara with slabs of chicken and pizza.

I have macho arms (thanks to weights, haha, or is that no, thanks?) and my daughter looks like a grown up lady here).

Turning Korean

I prepared this today and thankful that it's a success. My daughter loves it!

It's quite easy to prepare. Now I know too what that smell is when I eat in a Japanese restaurant (yep, Jap, not Kor). It's mirin!

This Means War

I watched this. Nothing for the books. It's not even as funny but fun to watch. Get it? I love Reese Witherspoon and came to like Chris Pine here. :)

Herbed Cracker with Cream Cheese

What's correct herb (noun here) or herbed (noun here)? Googling it, there are more with ED but, anyway, this was my late dinner tonight. :) I love it!
